Instructions for preparing a paper for IMC Proceedings 2007
If you are having hard time with English, please consult a friend of yours who has better knowledge of this language before sending the paper to the Proceedings editor. Send your file toimc2007@imo.net.
You can send your paper prepared in LaTeX or Microsoft Word format. The example of a correctly prepared paper is available as a LaTeX source - example.tex, as Word file - example.doc and as a pdf - example.pdf.
  • If you use LaTeX, please make use of the style file proc07.tex.
  • If you use Microsoft Word, it is advisable to send a pdf file too, if you can provide it (so that the editor can check equations, special characters, etc).
  • The pictures should be sent separately (not embedded in the Word file) as tiff (compresed) or jpg format (maximum quality/lowest compression). The resolution should be 200 dpi. Do not send ps or eps files. All the pictures (figures) and tables should have a caption and a reference from the main text.
The paper should consist of the following sections:
  • title
  • author(s)
  • institution or society including postal address and the author's e-mail
  • abstract
  • introduction
  • (main text)
  • conclusions
  • references (full references - as an example see example.pdf)
For more detailed description of what a paper should include see the "Writing for WGN" article on the main IMO website.
