2nd Meteor Orbit Determination Workshop - June 7th 2007.
Following on from the success of last September's 3-day workshop on meteor orbit determination, held in Roden, the Netherlands, we plan to hold a half day follow-on meeting immediately before the IMC 2007 in Barège, France. All groups and individuals working or simply interested in determining meteoroid orbits from double and multi-station observations are welcome to attend.

Practical information

The informal meeting will be held on Thursday, June 7 (at 14:00 local time), and should conclude by dinner time that evening. As with the Radio Meteor School and the IMC itself, the meeting will be held at "L'Hospitalet", Barèges, France. You will find travel and other information on http://www.imo.net/imc2007.
Organisers

The meeting is again being organised by Detlef Koschny and Jonathan Mc Auliffe (ESA/ESTEC). If you have any questions please contact Jonathan Mc Auliffe.

Preliminary Program

The main topics (in no particular order) that will be tabled for discussion are:

  • Video meteor orbit database - status.
  • Meteor detection algorithms - accurate identification of meteors in video frames.
  • Orbit determination algorithms.
  • Orbit determination software - data testing.
This program will be fleshed out over the coming week. Stay tuned.
