France is a country located at the center of Europe. It's part of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement, the currency is Euro. It is surrounded by 3 seas, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. The official langage is french but some french guys speak english...

France is a land of contrasts but with a strong identity. South west of France where is located Barèges is famous for it's wine (Bordeaux, Cahors, Madiran...) for rugby and for its gastronomy mainly based on duck. Barèges and the Pic du Midi are located in the Pyrénées which are one of the very rare mountain chain linking two seas. The climate is dominated by Atlantic west wind, so it is quite warm and humid. But even in june at an altitude of 1200m the tempetaure could be fresh during nights, and there is still snow at Pic du Midi at this season.
