But, seriously, folks, I have been to many professional conferences during my professional life, and I can truly say that for organisation, attention to detail, and helpfulness yours has never been bettered! The system of dealing with questions was particularly effective. You should be very proud of your achievement, and I have been inspired to work on my submission for the Proceedings straight away. Personally, I made several new and very valued contacts and obtained a new collaborator, so I am expecting a fruitful outcome from this event.
With gratitude and all my best wishes,
Geoff

IMC-2005

We came from afar
Following a star
Immy was her name
To Oostmalle we came
We got lost along the way
Whose fault it was I dare not say
But never mind, the welcome there
The friendly smiles and helpful care
Cheered us and allayed our fears
Or maybe it was all those troppel beers

Sometimes it’s better to say nothing……but…..miss you all. It was, again, a great experience.
See you next year in Holland.

Arnold

I would also like to extend my thanks to the meeting organizers - this was actually one of the best-organized scientific conferences I've been to in the past 20 years, with care taken even in all the little things. E.g. did the conference pack answer *all* the questions I had when I arrived, and my transport to Antwerp's railway station on Saturday was organized without hesitation and without extra charge (please convey my thanks to my driver from Urania)! Leaving the IMC early was actually a grave mistake as the German conference I hurried to was an organizational disaster ...

Daniel - by the way, if you read German, you can find a little 'blog' from and after the IMC at www.astro.uni-bonn.de/~dfischer/blog/1.html#imc

The 2005 IMC will remain an unforgetable memory for all the participants.

By this way I wish to express my gratitude to the organizers who made this IMC to become as perfect as it was. Measuring the quality on a satisfaction scale is not mathematically possible, but I think that all participants will agree that the 2005 IMC gets highest distinction with the compliments of all participants! As organizer of the 1982, 1986 and 1993 editions I speak from my own experience: there is so much hidden work, detail and sorrow involved for organizers. For the IMC 2005 in Oostmalle I say like the french "Chapeau": this was an organizational masterwork!

Dear friends,

we are sorry we absent on the IMC in Belgium this year.
There is more reasons for it. One of it is the project „Mars Four Centuries After Keller“ which started in these days. It is simple observing program for pupils something like the project „Venus Transit 2004“.
The project can help to start an interest to observation within youth and consequently may help to recruit new meteor observers, too. Some IMO members are working with young people and we suggest them to participate on the project by this way. All necessary information you can find on our observatory’s web site www.khbb.sk. Please give this short information to participants.
Best regards to all participants
I hope we will see on the next IMC
