The 2011 International Meteor Conference in Sibiu, Romania, was a success. The meeting was attended by 120 participants from 24 countries, composed of 15% professional scientists and 85% amateur astronomers (or should we say: citizen scientists!) Talks presented during the lecture sessions can now be downloaded from the conference website in PDF format.
During the meeting it was announced that the next edition of the International Meteor Conference will take place on the island of La Palma, Spain, in September 2012, and will include a visit to some of the world’s largest telescopes! An official announcement with further details will follow soon.
