Accommodation and meal
In Sibiu are many possibilities for accommodation.

For IMC 2011 participants we chose one of the best, Continental Forum Hotel, a high class 4**** hotel (a legendary building dating back to 1912) situated near the historic center of Sibiu, which will also be used for registration and meals.

The standard accommodation will be in double twin rooms. Also, you can opt for a double rooms with matrimonial bed or for a single room (for more info, see the costs page).
The standard rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, LCD TV, cable internet, room and bathroom telephone, safe-deposit box, hair dryer, magnifying mirror, personal hygiene kits, bath robe and slippers.

For IMC participants will be available for free: Wi-Fi internet access, fitness, sauna and jacuzzi. Also, free parking for the participants who are coming by personal cars.

The meals will be served at Balkan Bistro, the first restaurant with Balkan flavours in Romania. Balkan Bistro has 130 seats and is located at the hotel’s ground floor.

A bar, a bowling club, billiard, darts or fussball are available, too.

Lecture venue: ASTRA Public Library
The presentations of the 2011 IMC will be given in the conference room of the ASTRA Public Library, one of the oldest and most important public libraries of Romania. It was founded in 1861, and is thus celebrating its 150th anniversary this year! The building is situated at only 3 minutes walk distance from hotel.

The lecture room with a capacity of 140 persons is located on the top floor of a new building. It has a terrace which offers a very nice view of the city and the Făgăraș Mountains. Computers connected at internet will be available during the conference program.

Space for posters and photo exhibitions will be provided in the conference room, too.
Welcome Reception venue: Sibiu City Hall
The IMC proper will start with an Welcome Reception on Thursday evening, September 15, at 1800, hosted by Sibiu City Hall.

Here will be a photo exhibition of the IMCs history. Your contribution for this exhibition with digital format pictures is welcome. Please, contact the organizers!
IMO G.A., social activities and Astro-poetry Show: Theater Room of ASTRA Public Library
Saturday evening events – the Annual Meeting of the General Assembly of the International Meteor Organization, social activities and the traditional astro-poetry show – will be held in a special theater room of the ASTRA Public Library, helping us to create that unique atmosphere, typical for an IMO conference.
