Instructions for preparing a paper for IMC Proceedings 2006
If you consider your English is not well, please consult a friend of yours who has better knowledge of English, before sending the paper to the Proceedings editor.
You can send your paper prepared in LaTeX or Microsoft Word. The example of a correctly prepared paper is available as LaTeX source - example.tex, as Word file - example.doc and as a pdf - example.pdf.
  • If you use LaTeX, please make use of the style file proc06.tex.
  • If you use Microsoft Word, it is advisable to send a pdf file too, if you can provide it (so that the editor can check equations, special characters, etc).
  • The pictures should be sent separately (not embedded in the Word file) as tiff (compresed) or jpg format (maximum quality/lowest compression). The resolution should be 200 dpi. Do not send ps or eps files. All the pictures (figures) and tables should have a caption and a reference from the main text.
The paper should consist of the following sections:
  • title
  • author(s)
  • institution or society including postal address and the author's e-mail
  • abstract
  • introduction
  • (main text)
  • conclusions
  • references (full references, for example see example.pdf)
For more detailed description what a paper should include see the "Writing for WGN" article on the main IMO website.
